"She was
so pretty"
She was more than a
mother
This woman was my world
She was so pretty to me-
I always felt nearer when we hugged
Loved those arms that cuddled me
They hid me from the world
That cradle of love softly rocked me to sleep
In playtime we laughed!
Playtime meant tickles and giggles
Songs with our own silly rhymes
Games that were hilarious to us
A teacher of music
What a repertoire of songs she shared
Passion for theatre movies and so on
She was so pretty
Plenty of time for a story
One of our own
One from a book
Nobody could tell a story like her
There was never a better nurse
Her medicine was the best medicine
Her touch so gentle so pure
She was so pretty
Each birthday as important as the last
She wouldn't have it any other way
Even on her special day
She remained the giver
I never saw her by age
There was no need for numbers
She was ageless and timeless
She was so pretty
I will never lose sight of her
I will never lose my way
For she leaves behind trails of her love, everywhere!
Yes, she was so pretty
