"Room for one mouse" - (Revised)

Rolls the cheese with the greatest of ease

Then takes a sly pause to rest

This cheeky mouse that ruled a house

By no means your average pest!

Setting the bait the owners would wait

A room now filled with traps

Their own decoy faced a shrewder ploy

The mouse escaping without a snap!

They purchased a cat thinking that was that

But the mouse had picked up the pace

Poor puss was faced with a wild goose-chase

Then vanished, without a trace!

In a house with a mouse, that rules the roost

There's just so much one can bare

So packing their pride & differences aside

All agree there's enough room to share
