REVIEW-Chris Shiveley

What is this sound I hear?

This lovely, but faint, melodic tune

That wraps around my ears

Like smooth strands of silk.

Desperately, I try to find

The graceful array of notes

Coming from some unknown place.

But yet, it slowly slips away,

And all goes silent.

Alas, what is this?

Yet another tune,

Different from the first.

My leg starts stomping to the beat;

I can’t control it.

All around, the music

Is getting louder, faster, smarter.

I seem to be possessed,

As I can’t control myself.

My head starts banging,

Hair flowing with the movement

Of the trance-like melody

That surrounds me.

I am in paradise.

Tom and Chris said that the poem is very 50/50 and they are very proud of themselves.

I asked them what the teacher said, and Chris commented, "Well, Mom, nothing.  She just sat there with her mouth open."  I'll bet!
