It’s not just about the gifts

It’s more the gift of love

Everyone, everywhere

Joined as one

United as links in a chain

Everyone feels it, one way or another

An existence we cannot deny ourselves

Whether a huge gathering of celebrations

Or a mere note of remembrance

One love embraces us

One love thrives

So it isn’t as lavish this year?

Some faces may be noticeably absent

All things change for a reason

A purpose

Just as the purpose of Christmas

Don’t be sad or bitter

Have compassion

Take a moment to reflect

All that made you

Was made with love

God hand picked your seed

He found where to plant it

He watched you grow

His love was always in your heart

Christmas is his gift

Our gift

All that made Christmas

Was all made from love

The tears and the joy

The laughter or the sorrow

All felt with love

It’s not just about the gifts

It is more the gift of love

Accept what is offered

Give love back in return
